London Communion January 2013

London Communion January 2013 Gig Poster

Feeling the post Christmas blues? Well, there is only one way to kick start your January and that is by throwing off the Christmas jumper, donning your crispest shirt (or dress, ladies) and joining us at Notting Hill Arts Club.?Never one to do things by halves, we have put together a six strong line-up for our first Communion of January.

Starting off the evening will be Kimberly Anne who is known for recording/broadcasting live demos and events from her bedroom in South East London, she is truly handmade in every sense of the word. Producing music of a rare and unique quality but yet comfortably familiar, she captures your imagination and invites you inside her brain for a cup of tea and a chat with every track.

All We Are
A heady mix of alternative indie and psych tinged pop, All We Are provide gorgeous three part vocal harmonies and kettle-whistling guitars that float over flowery basslines and hypnotic drums, rising from delicately soft & haunting tones to driving & disco fuelled anthems which form the blueprint for their electrifying and absorbing live shows.

Burning Beard
In their own words ?heavy music and melodic music needn?t be mutually exclusive? and this certainly seems to be a saying the band live by. Bringing together big guitar, bass heavy riffs with a subtle melodic overlay, this band will definitely kick-start your January.
