LONDON (AP) -Manchester City lost more than $150 million in the last financial year as the club maintained its heavy spending to win its first English title in 44 years.
City, though, believes it is closer to complying with UEFA's Financial Fair Play regulations as the loss of 97.9 million pounds ($158 million) is around half the figure in the 2010-11 financial year.
But the Abu Dhabi-owned club, which has spent heavily on transfers and salaries since its 2008 takeover, has recorded its highest ever turnover of 231 million pounds ($372 million).
